Position Summary

Primarily supports the business use of the accounting systems for the organization worldwide. Supports the entire project life cycle including initial implementation and on-going production support, and leads enhancement projects. Performs the role of key liaison between the technical IT staff that deploys business process management-based systems and the line-of-business staff that perform the process work. Specializes in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and user needs in order to formulate solutions that enable the overall business strategies. Drives the creation of primarily conceptual/logical process models, as well as the supporting process ecosystem.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Provide first line support for any system issues impacting the accounting teams
  • Monitor critical system interface health and drive continuous improvement projects for any interface failures
  • Ensuring consistently reliable reporting from systems and demonstrate subject matter expertise for any reporting needs
  • Review solution designs with the IT project teams to ensure systematic solutions are scalable and high quality.  Guidance includes configuration suggestions, standard practices, data extraction, and roadmap discussions.
  • Utilize past experience and knowledge of accounting, finance and reporting to recommend appropriate business process solutions to new business requirements
  • Engage with the business leadership and process owners to identify and implement solutions/enhancements that achieve efficiencies, enforce compliance or increase gross margin of Citrix
  • Lead Business/Systems Analysts team members located in multiple time-zones
  • Establish and improve processes that protect financials against configuration changes that could cause financial misstatement
  • Manage and execute user acceptance test effort, data, and cases, and identify pertinent performance metrics
  • Acts as subject matter expert in cross-department projects as representative of the capabilities and needs of the accounting group
  • Maintain existing systems and data, including hierarchies and system configurations as appropriate, according to defined SLAs
  • Systems supported primarily include SAP ECC, Hybris, RevPro, SAP BW, and SAP BPC. Additional systems may be in scope for selected projects: Ariba Integration, Blackline Integration, Concur Integration, Vertex and other non-SAP systems such as SFDC, Apttus or other SaaS systems that may be implemented
  • Create impact assessments and analyze the ROI for system enhancements
  • Identify training gaps and create training opportunities when needed, including guidance on execution of SAP transactions
  • Perform key functions to recruit top-notch Accounting Systems staff including interviewing, hiring, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling and coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed
  • Generate project status, management reports and UAT status as required to executive audiences
  • Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders outside of Accounting Systems, including Sales, Marketing, Product Groups, Operations, regarding accounting systems and processes
  • Provide ad-hoc system support as required including for month-end and quarter end close process
  • Adheres to practices that improve operational efficiency via expanded communications with key process constituencies including IT, sales, and services

Qualifications (include knowledge, skills, abilities, and related work experience)

  • Ability to interact effectively with executives, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain commitment and cooperation from others, especially those in other departments with competing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally and executive briefings.  Often takes a leading role in senior level presentations with management teams                             
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Supported SAP configuration for company with international operations
  • Understanding of order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report processes
  • Ability to influence teams not directly managed by finance
  • Understanding of cross module/system impacts
  • Strives to improve performance and to have a significant impact on department’s success
  • Has proven success with the development and implementation of at least 2 or more SAP go-lives (including FICO module)
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and expert knowledge of all current data systems and business drivers at Citrix
  • Manage teams’ tasks and ensure completion of assignments under aggressive time constraints
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of organization, management levels, cultures, and personalities
  • Articulate compelling qualitative and quantitative business cases for systems enhancements
  • Effectively gives direction to team members in order to accomplish a goal
  • Ability to accommodate schedule to work off hours to support international discussions, close operations, and project efforts

Functional/Technical Requirements (include education, certifications, and training)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Financial Systems Implementation/Management experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in a process improvement focused environment
  • Functional knowledge of SAP, including configuration and system design
