What You'll Do

• We are looking for an automation Engineer with 2+ year’s system and scale automation test experience in a technology-based company with focused on network and cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures to join the Cisco DNA Spaces team
• Experience in testing on-premise and cloud-native scaled out and distributed applications that demonstrate micro service architecture, REST APIs, relational and NoSQL stores, some level of networking and system expertise, strong tooling, monitoring, and cloud management experience
• Strong experience working in small, highly technical teams employing Agile/Scrum practices
• Ability to deliver results in a short time and experience working in fast paced high growth tech companies
• Confirmed ability to influence a diverse geographically dispersed group across different time zones to facilitate, moderate, and influence productive design and implementation discussions driving towards results
• Strong knowledge of key infrastructure technologies such as: software automation, Wireless Networking protocols (LAN, WAN), Platform, continuous delivery solutions (AWS, Azure, Google) and Storage Technologies (UNIX, LINUX, Windows, SAN)
• Should have proven experience on testing cloud-based applications. Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, scale, system, performance, regression and service
• Knowledge in areas of Performance and Scale testing tools and Performance measurement tools.
• Setting up of test environments, Setup networks/ building test topology, including scale and simulator setups, crafting test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and implementing these cases
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people
• Work with the developers on your team in creating their plans for automated tests to complement the exploratory testing that you perform.
• Participate in functional specification and software design reviews held by your team and provide customer centric input.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in Engineering/computer science with an overall work experience of 2-5 years.
• Experience in automating tests using selenium and python
• Experience with both blackbox and whitebox testing approach.
• Experience with API testing
• Able to perform web services testing, backend components. research and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem
• VMWare or other Hypervisor - setting up of Virtual Machines, monitoring the Hypervisor performance, optimizing/tuning the virtual machine configuration.
• Has strong motivation to work in agile environment with the ability for quick ramp up.
• Develop, implement and complete test plans and scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Ability to review and improve test coverage
• Use existing tools and techniques to implement test cases and build new scripts for performing testing/validation function
• Participate in troubleshooting and training of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Participate in technical communication within the team and other groups
• Should have Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills
• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum model
• Knowledge of cloud environments and Linux platform
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
• Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness

Required Experience:

• Experience with a broad mix of technologies including Python programming and Linux Bash Scripting.
• Enterprise solution running on premise and Cloud (Saas)
• Hardware Optimization and performance profiling
• AWS Web, Azure and Google Cloud Services,
• API gateway
• Linux, Unix systems, and Docker
• Good knowledge of configuration management tools. Ability to write manifests and templates in Puppet or Chef or Ansible.
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience and expertise selling solutions to business decision-makers by reinforcing the value of solutions.
• Demonstrated experience working in agile teams.
• Ability to work with highly distributed teams, including interaction with the open source communities.
