Job Summary

Design, deploy, & administer various Enterprise Monitoring tools and solutions. The monitoring & observability solutions engineer will actively support the expansion of our observability capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the planning, implementation and administration of observability solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Plan, design, & deploy monitoring solutions covering a diverse set of technologies
• Develop dashboards for IT operations, production support, app/dev teams, as well as executives Analyze and identify thresholds to establish meaningful alerts
• Work with infrastructure teams to establish baseline monitoring and thresholds for core technologies
• Work with IT teams to create custom alerts for critical services
• Perform configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of monitoring platforms and agents
• Perform recurring tasks related to administration and maintenance of monitoring & observability solutions
• Provide user support and engage in troubleshooting of reported issues

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.

Experience Requirements

• 1+ years of combined experience in Monitoring, Software/Systems Engineering, Business/System Analysis, Application SME role
• 3+ years in large enterprise environments

• Log Management (Splunk Enterprise)
• Network Monitoring (SevOne, ThousandEyes, etc.)
• Event Correlation / AIOPS (Moogsoft)
• Cloud Technologies including AWS, Azure, Terraform, Salesforce, Heroku, Mulesoft
• Windows/Unix/AIX/Linux/Solaris Server, Networking (Cisco), VOIP, IIS, Active Directory, Virtualization
• SOAP/XML, JavaScript, Java, Python, .NET, WebSphere, JBoss, Databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL), Selenium, ELK, Ansible, Jenkins
• May require occasional traveling
• Good written and oral skills in local language
