1364093 - RF Firmware Test Engineer - MR

As an RF Firmware Test Engineer, you will focus on the following:

  • Design and implement test plans and testbeds to test RF characteristics of next-generation Wi-Fi products and features
  • Collaborate with Joint Device Manufacturer (JDM) to validate Board Data Files (BDF) for Meraki Access Points
  • Perform EVM and Rate vs Range testing
  • Collaborate with Hardware QA Engineers, Software Developers, Product Management and Release Engineers to develop reliable and scalable NPI processes for testing and updating BDFs
  • Collaborate with Automation engineers to scale, improve and maintain testbed operations
  • Collaborate with Wi-Fi chipset vendors on a regular basis to fix and solve low-level issues that might block releases
  • Ensure Meraki Access points are compliant with the latest worldwide regulatory transmit requirements

YOU ARE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

  • BS/MS in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience working on RF testing and test tools
  • Strong understanding of regulatory radio power and band rules (e.g. FCC, CE, etc.)
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers and 3rd party test labs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive technical discussions and lead projects
  • Experience with Litepoint IQxel or similar RF tools
