The Freshworks Security Team is seeking an experienced IT Security leader who will lead the Enterprise Security function. Enterprise Security is a critical component in our management of corporate applications and technologies, user access and authentication, and the security of our internal data. As a leader in the enterprise security team, you will strategically influence how we secure our enterprise environment and provide guidance and requirements for how to do so. The successful candidate will be able to balance constantly evolving tactical needs with the ability to help drive critical initiatives with our internal business partners.
As the Director of Enterprise Security, you will be responsible for:
Provide Infrastructure Security assessments and requirements for Enterprise systems (e.g., users, endpoints, systems, data, services, and networks)
Conduct security assessments (design reviews, configuration reviews, pen and vulnerability tests) of systems and infrastructure in our ongoing efforts to reduce risk for the organization
Partner with other areas of the security and GRC teams to drive control design, remediation of deficiencies, and ensure regulatory and audit compliance for our Enterprise systems
Advocate for security policies and processes and support security enablement with internal partners while maintaining a balance of security and usability
Drive critical initiatives in support of risk reduction and maintain security standards and guidelines
Engage with internal business and technology teams for security design consulting, reviews, and testing. Identify vulnerabilities and propose both tactical and strategic improvements
Maintain an inventory of all Enterprise Infrastructure systems, data, services, tools, infrastructure, and networks including current security states
Advise senior management via supporting documentation and presentations on security assurance related matters
Deliver security guidance concisely and clearly for enterprise-wide security projects and activities
Collaborate with stakeholders to dDrive projects related to Enterprise Security initiatives; SSO, Phishing detection/prevention, DLP, etc
Perform audits of Enterprise IT Systems related to SOX IT General Controls
The successful candidate for this role will have the following minimum qualifications
12+ (8)+ years of experience working with Enterprise IT systems and data with a security-focused role in a global organization
Four (4)+ years of experience in a management role
Previous experience with infrastructure security in a cloud-first/SaaS first environment; user endpoint security, malware & AV protections, DLP, SaaS and online data storage, phishing prevention, remote connectivity, network security, CASB, SSO, among others
Previous experience in security assurance practices (threat modeling, design reviews, and penetration testing)
In-depth knowledge of common controls, infrastructure, and application security vulnerabilities and mitigations
Strong cross-functional leadership and team-building skills
Experience engaging other technical teams, IT Support teams, and corporate customers regarding security of corporate systems
Ability to prioritize and drive multiple work streams forward simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with teams spread across different geographies
