WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Digital Product Creation (DPC) is looking for a Product Manager to join our team who is interested in building products to directly impact how Nike shapes product plans and assortments. We seek someone with a solid understanding in software-powered product development and a proven track record of delivering solutions that users love. This role will have single-threaded ownership over product and features within the Product Merchandising space with the ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams! You will have sole accountability for the delivery of the product and its performance with internal users.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
The Product Manager will lead all aspects of the lifecycle of a digital product from concept and testing through to launch, maturity and divestiture. This is a user-centric role, working to translate the needs of product merchandising into a roadmap reflecting digital experiences while balancing a connection to strategic priorities and resources. The Product Manager is ultimately accountable for ensuring a cross-product approach enabling the business to scale and reach their goals through timely value drops and feature delivery. This includes mapping feature specification to user needs, running ongoing prototyping and functional testing with end users, drafting and prioritizing against Key Results as well as measuring and maximizing user sentiment. We are looking for a highly strategic, analytical, inventive, consumer-focused teammate who can simultaneously understand the big picture and have a strong command of the details.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with partners both from Global and Marketplace roles, software engineering, program management, technical product management, transition management, user experience design, our user group, and cross-functional business partners (e.g. data governance, marketing, etc.) to bring our experiences to market.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research in partnership with Design and Engineering to deliver User-Centric experiences
- Create and champion data-driven and market-informed product vision and strategy that supports Nike strategies. Identify the strategic product implications and opportunities resulting from major corporate strategies and change initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and share relevant technology trends, competitive offerings and best-of-breed executions.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products, from conception through launch, maturity and divestiture. Strategize and execute on growth initiatives in operating live products and capabilities.
- Develop expected outcomes/business cases to justify product investments
- Manage a fluid intake and prioritization process to develop a product, feature and release roadmap based on business targets, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of Product Merchandising needs.
- Define product KPIs, derive key insights, drive reporting tools, and devise and execute experiments and multivariate tests to find product solutions
- Drive prioritization and backlog grooming on the basis of product performance
- Manage agile squads and backlog for successful delivery within an Agile methodology
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- 2 years' proven experience in Digital Product Management and Product Delivery
- Demonstrated ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment
- Experience operating in Agile/SCRUM delivery methodology
- Strong analytical abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
