SR. PRODUCT MANAGER, SUSTAINABILITY – DIGITAL PRODUCT CREATION

Nike

Beaverton, Oregon,

Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At NIKE, Inc. it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

The first spark of a product idea sets the NIKE, Inc. Product team into motion. The team of developers, testers, engineers, designers and managers obsess over Nike’s iconic silhouettes and create groundbreaking new styles. They collaborate, ideate and refine products’ construction, fit and materials. They maintain a keen understanding of consumer and market trends. They skillfully operate at the intersection of buyer needs, technical feasibility and business objectives. And they work lockstep with Merchandising, Design, Manufacturing and others to produce the final result: products that reflect the soul of sport and inspire athletes to reach new levels of performance.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Digital Product Creation is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the build and launch of a web-based custom software application. We are driving cross functional alignment with partners to launch an intuitive new experience for Nike teams in countries around the world. When deployed, this digital experience will not only significantly impact the global product creation process, but it will also lead the way in proving our future platform strategy!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role, you will own and drive the daily execution activities across multiple squads, partnering with Engineering leadership, a Technical Product Manager, and User Experience. The Sr Product Manager is ultimately accountable for timely value drops and feature delivery end-to-end. This includes mapping feature specification to user needs, running ongoing prototyping and functional testing with end users, as well as prioritizing against key results. You'll develop our vision and maintain an outcome-focused roadmap for the complete feature set, including the strategy on how these features will perform, how performance is measured, and how the product will continue to evolve with a focus on sustainability.

We are looking for a highly analytical, inventive, consumer-focused individual who can simultaneously understand the big picture and have a strong command of the details of complex but sophisticated scope. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of delivering time-bound results and bringing cross-functional teams together to deliver robust products to market.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role is inherently cross-functional; working closely with partners both from WHQ and in our geographies, software engineering, program management, transition management, user experience design, insights, our user group, and cross-functional business partners (e.g. sustainability, commercial materials, etc.) to bring our experiences to market!

WHAT YOU BRING
-  Build, develop, and evangelize the product roadmap for both functional and non-functional features that increase the speed and ease with which we specify and make new physical product, beginning with Footwear, but later scaling across Accessories and Apparel.

-  Contribute to feature definition and break-down, partnering across x-functional squads.

-  Lead design sprints, generating prototypes to test with users; partner with Insights in synthesizing the outcomes of user testing. Apply findings to feature definition and strategy.

-  Mentor a team of product managers within Digital Product Creation to deliver outsized results across DPC, working cross-functionally.

-  Demonstrated ability to build trust with strategic partners

-  Work with engineering leadership to identify and unblock dependencies and constraints that might impact the delivery this application.

-  Make prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing the consumer experience, launch complexity and timeline, development effort across multiple product teams, and business value.

QUALIFICATIONS
-  Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

-  7+ years' experience in technology product management roles

-  3+ years' experience building and managing high-performing teams

-  3+ years' leading cross-functional teams including program management and engineering

-  Proven track record of delivering results in complex product and program environments

-  Strong command of qualitative research, and analytical and quantitative research skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up actions

-  Experience developing and/or deploying platforms is a plus
