Attendee (Frequently Asked Questions)

This conference is all about professionals returning to work. It is open to anybody who is looking to return to work after a career break, regardless of the industry or field, the length of your career gap, or the reason you chose to take a career break (child or elder care, health issues, pursuit of a personal interest, etc.).
No, this event is open to anyone who is returning to work after a career break. Although, the majority of returners tend to be women.
After you register, you’ll get access to the career conference platform in the confirmation email. You can view listed jobs and company booths 15 days before the event so you can prepare yourself.
Day 1 will be returner focused webinars from many of our partners. We will have a Keynote Speaker, a Diversity and Inclusion Panel, a LinkedIn session, Hiring Manager Panels, and many more. See agenda for more details.
Day 2 is dedicated to the job fair. You will be able to meet hiring managers to discuss the jobs you’ve applied for. Similarly, recruiters will be able to reach out to you for the first round of screening through text, audio, or video capability.
We use vFairs virtual platform to run this event and you will be able to have text, audio, and video options to connect with employers. Employers can also extend an invite for a quick chat, and you can either agree to go on audio/video or continue through the chat function.
Your resume is automatically provided to employers when you enter their booths to chat. You'll have a dedicated time to chat with employer sponsors at the Conference. Please understand that all the attendees may not be able to speak with all the employers of their choice as there are a limited number of representatives allotted for each company. However, even after the Conference, we will spotlight attendee profiles to increase your chances of being hired.
No. There are no downloads or plug-ins required to participate in an event on the vFairs platform. You just need a strong internet connection.
NOTE: Some sponsors may invite you to a video chat, if you choose to participate in a video chat you must make sure your camera and microphone are enabled.
  • You will have access to job roles 15 days before the event so use that time to prep well for the day of the job fair. Make sure your resume is perfect, don’t forget to add the skills you gained during your career break.
  • If you have already registered, you should’ve received the WBW Welcome Kit which has all the prep content you need to put your best foot forward.
  • Is your camera, mic and screen share enabled? Make sure that you have a great internet connection and that your camera and microphone are set up prior to April 28th job fair day in case an employer asks you for a video chat.

Yes, companies have access to attendee demographic information and resumes ahead of time.
You will be given login details in the email confirmation after your have registered for the event. On the homepage, use the login button to login.
Yes. Day 1 will be recorded and will be displayed as an on-demand video for 30 days after the conference.

  • Finally, we welcome you to attend our WBW Virtual Power Hour every Tuesday, no registrations required. In this Power Hour, we provide ongoing support system to help Returners navigate the challenges involved with finding a job that is the right fit. Women can get advice on their resume, interviewing, networking, social media, etc. Really, anything to do with your job search. It's also a great place to meet other women who are looking to return to work.
